Helpful Hints
The conference will be held on the beach at Boca Del Rio, San Pedro, Belize. Some events may be held inside depending on weather — remember we are on an island.
You will fly into Belize City first, then take a hop flight on either Tropic Air or Maya Island Air to San Pedro. You can also take the Belize Express ferry — a less expensive and scenic ride on the Caribbean Sea.
Because phone carriers vary on coverage in Belize, download the WhatsApp application on your phone. WiFi is readily available and most of us use WhatsApp for communication.
You do NOT need a rental car, nor can you get one. For transportation on the island, you may want a rental golf cart depending on how far your hotel is from the meeting. Contact William via WhatsApp at +501-628-6954 for golf cart rentals.
Pack light. You are coming to the Caribbean. Dress for all events and meetings is beach casual — shorts, shirt, and flip flops are perfect for the weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be able to access money while I am there?
Yes. The Belize currency system is very easy to understand — it is 2 to 1. For every US dollar, you exchange for 2 Belize dollars. You do NOT need to exchange money at a currency exchange. There are various ATMs where you can use your debit/credit card for cash withdrawals in Belize currency. US currency is also widely accepted at stores, vendors, restaurants, etc.
Do I have access to buying necessities?
While there aren't any US chain stores on the island, you will have no problem finding all the things you are looking for at various grocery stores, vendor shops, fruit/vegetable fresh market stands, etc.
